In the recently released “List of Key Construction Official Projects of Guangdong Province in 2021,” the HeYou International Hospital project, founded by Midea Holding Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Midea Holding”), was included.

The HeYou International Hospital project is located in Shunde District, Foshan City, the heart of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. Designed according to the highest standards of domestic tertiary Grade A general hospitals and international quality certification systems, it covers an area of 186 mu, with a main building area of 350,000 square meters, 1,500 beds, and a green space ratio of up to 30%. The hospital plans to include an International Medical Center, a Clinical Skills Training Center, an Academic Exchange Center, a Medical Transformation Center, and a Particle Therapy Center with internationally advanced equipment.

Although the HeYou International Hospital project is scheduled to officially commence operations in 2024, this does not mean that the public must wait three years to access the high-level medical services the hospital will provide. The Meihe Outpatient Department, a subsidiary of HeYou International Hospital, is in its final decoration phase and will be fully open for consultations in August this year. It is understood that the Meihe Outpatient Department will serve as a modern, international, digital, and intelligent demonstration and experience platform for the HeYou International Hospital project, offering health services including health management, physical examinations, and outpatient care to surrounding residents.

Building a Comprehensive Health Closed Loop for Residents of the Greater Bay Area

The “Healthy China Initiative (2019-2030)” released in 2019 clearly states: “To actively address current prominent health issues, it is necessary to move the prevention threshold forward, adopt effective intervention measures, and strive to keep the population from getting sick or reducing illness, thereby improving quality of life and extending healthy lifespans.”

Starting in 2021, these plans will be implemented at the Meihe Outpatient Department, a subsidiary of the HeYou International Hospital project, allowing the general public to truly benefit from high-quality and convenient health and medical services.

By introducing outstanding medical teams from South China and across the country, as well as the most advanced equipment from home and abroad, the Meihe Outpatient Department is dedicated to building a comprehensive health closed loop encompassing prevention, physical examinations, and treatment.

More Targeted Health Management and Physical Examinations

A World Health Organization survey shows that for every 1 yuan invested in the prevention of chronic diseases, 8.5 yuan can be saved in treatment costs, and 100 yuan in emergency care costs.
