HeYou Hospital Conducts Research on Major Disease Treatment Special Action in Nyingchi, Tibet

To deeply implement the national rural revitalization strategy and uphold the principle of "putting people and life first," from March 12 to 13, Professor Li Dongyu, Director of the Cardiac Surgery Department at Foshan HeYou Hospital and a member of the expert group of the "Party Building Leading · Hefeng Renxin Health Public Welfare Project," along with Tian Renxin, the project's joint executive leader, conducted preliminary research in Nyingchi, Tibet, for the major disease treatment special action. They engaged in in-depth exchanges with local medical institutions and civil affairs departments, laying the foundation for subsequent precise implementation of救助.

The Hefeng Renxin Health Public Welfare Charitable Trust was established by the He Foundation under the Guangdong Provincial Department of Civil Affairs. It aims to leverage high-quality medical care as a professional foundation, build an effective medical health delivery system through "medical-community collaboration," support higher-quality development of health public welfare, and enable patients to achieve physical healing, mental health, and social support. As a key professional medical service provider, Foshan HeYou Hospital actively responds to the national Healthy China strategy, fully leverages its medical resource advantages, and deeply participates in the charitable project.

The research team's first stop was the Nyingchi People's Hospital, where they held a symposium with Wu Yue, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and President of the hospital, and some members of the leadership team. President Wu Yue provided a detailed introduction to the local high-incidence heart disease types and treatment needs. Both sides discussed and exchanged views on major disease assistance and treatment, technical collaboration, and other aspects. Professor Li Dongyu stated: "HeYou will leverage Party building pairing as a starting point, fully utilize the technical advantages of cardiac surgery, explore a full-chain collaboration mechanism, and benefit more people in need of medical services." He indicated that this research focuses on understanding needs and optimizing plans to provide a basis for subsequent scientific policy implementation.

At the symposium of the Nyingchi Civil Affairs Bureau, Deputy Director Zha Xiwangdui and Sun Yubo, Secretary-General of the Nyingchi Charity Federation, highly recognized the public welfare value of the project. Both sides exchanged views on key aspects such as patient screening procedures, cost guarantee, and post-operative follow-up management. The research team stated that they would rely on the救助 system of the Hefeng Renxin Health Public Welfare Charitable Trust to effectively reduce the financial burden on patients and ensure that "all who need救助 receive it."

As the technical support unit for the "Party Building Leading · Hefeng Renxin Health Public Welfare Project," the cardiac surgery team of HeYou Hospital brings together top expert resources. Professor Li Dongyu, a nationally renowned cardiac surgery expert, has performed nearly 10,000 cardiac surgeries, including the first off-pump coronary artery bypass surgery in Northeast China. He has extensive experience in complex congenital heart disease and minimally invasive valve surgery. Professor Li Dongyu's team will gradually improve the accessibility of universal healthcare through a tripartite model of "mobile clinics, technical collaboration, and major disease救助." Currently, HeYou Hospital has established a treatment system covering the entire cycle of heart disease, capable of performing high-difficulty surgeries including Tetralogy of Fallot and aortic dissection, fully meeting the stringent standards of "10,000-case surgical experience and hybrid operating rooms" required by the "Requirements for救助 Medical Institutions and Surgeons."
