Strategic Collaboration Drives Medical Research Innovation: HeYou Hospital Partners with National-Level Project to Advance Research-Oriented Hospital Development
On March 14, HeYou Hospital officially launched a research collaboration with the National Major Infectious Disease Project Team. Professor Zhu Guofeng, an expert from the National Major Infectious Disease Project Team, and Professor Gao Qian's team from Fudan University reached a strategic consensus with the hospital on the study titled "Evaluation of Clinical Autoimmune Disease Therapeutic Drugs and Latent Tuberculosis Infection Recurrence."
I. National-Level Platform Empowerment: A Breakthrough in Private Medical Research Innovation
As a core project under the National Major Science and Technology Program for Infectious Disease Prevention and Control, this study focuses on evaluating the correlation between immunotherapeutic drugs and latent tuberculosis infection recurrence, aiming to address global medication safety challenges.
"This is a key practice of the 'synergistic development of medical care, education, and research' strategy," emphasized Professor Lu Jiade, Vice President of HeYou Hospital and Director of the Comprehensive Cancer Center and Proton Heavy Ion Center. By aligning with a national top-tier research platform, the hospital will accelerate the bidirectional translation of clinical resources and cutting-edge research, building an innovative closed loop of "research-clinical application-industry."
II. Discipline Advancement: Building a Full-Chain R&D System
The project deeply integrates the hospital's advantageous disciplinary resources, including the Department of Rheumatology and Immunology and the Comprehensive Cancer Center, to explore the complex mechanisms of immunomodulatory drugs and latent tuberculosis infection. Dr. Yu Qinghong, Director of the Department of Rheumatology and Immunology at HeYou Hospital, stated: "This research will drive the formation of a full-chain system encompassing 'clinical problem identification - basic mechanism research - treatment protocol optimization,' achieving reverse innovation from the bedside to the laboratory."
Notably, the team will leverage the hospital's strengths in precision medicine and multidisciplinary team (MDT) collaboration to build a cross-institutional standardized data platform.
III. Strategic Upgrade: Research-Driven High-Quality Development
As a new medical landmark in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, HeYou Hospital has been committed to the goal of becoming a "research-oriented hospital" since its inception. This collaboration not only elevates its research level in the cross-disciplinary field of infectious diseases and immunology but also creates an innovative development pathway for medical institutions through the model of "clinical demand traction + technological innovation drive."
