Kaiping Liqun Hospital and HeYou Hospital Reach Deep Cooperation Intent to Build a High-Quality Medical Service Network in the Hometown of Overseas Chinese

On May 15, a management team of eight, led by Wu Zhaohuan, Chairman of Kaiping Liqun Hospital in Jiangmen City, visited HeYou Hospital. The two parties engaged in in-depth discussions on technical collaboration, resource sharing, and the construction of a regional medical consortium, reaching multiple substantive cooperation intents.

From Consensus to Action: Outlining the Cooperation Framework  

During the visit, the Kaiping Liqun Hospital team, accompanied by HeYou International Hospital Group Management Committee members and HeYou Hospital Vice Presidents Zheng Qijin and Wang Jianming, conducted an on-site inspection of the outpatient hall, key departments, and the smart medical system, gaining an in-depth understanding of the hospital's management model and disciplinary strengths.

Located in the core area of Jiangmen, the hometown of overseas Chinese, Kaiping Liqun Hospital is a secondary general hospital integrating medical care, scientific research, teaching, and rehabilitation. Formerly known as Kaiping Shagang Zhang Liqun Hospital, it has a total building area of 54,400 square meters, 500 planned beds, and over 300 professional technical staff. Its medical equipment level ranks among the top in western Guangdong. The hospital's philosophy of "Rooted in the Hometown of Overseas Chinese, Serving People's Livelihood" highly aligns with HeYou Hospital. Its comprehensive department setup, advanced equipment foundation, and long-term cooperation network with surrounding medical institutions provide a solid platform for collaborative development.

As a key practitioner of medical collaboration in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, HeYou Hospital will join Kaiping Liqun Hospital to establish a special task force to refine cooperation details. They also plan to launch public welfare projects such as "Health Tour in the Hometown of Overseas Chinese" to provide mobile medical support for the local community.

People's Livelihood First: Solving Cross-Regional Medical Access Challenges

During the subsequent special symposium, the two parties identified three major cooperation directions:  

1. Regional Medical Collaboration Network Construction: Leveraging HeYou Hospital's high-quality medical resources and Kaiping Liqun Hospital's regional service network to establish platforms for two-way referral, remote consultation, and data sharing, with a focus on enhancing specialized treatment capabilities in oncology, orthopedics, and cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases.  

2. Joint Talent Development and Academic Exchange: Deepening technical exchanges through rotation training for key physicians, joint research, and academic forums. The first batch plans to select some professionals from Kaiping Liqun Hospital for advanced studies at HeYou Hospital.  

3. Full-Cycle Management Collaboration for Cancer Prevention and Treatment: Integrating the technical advantages of the HeYou Comprehensive Cancer Center with Kaiping Liqun Hospital's patient follow-up system to jointly create an integrated "Screening-Treatment-Rehabilitation" service model, reducing the burden of cross-regional medical visits for patients.  

Wu Zhaohuan, Chairman of Kaiping Liqun Hospital, stated: "This cooperation will drive high-quality resources to the grassroots, allowing the people in the hometown of overseas Chinese to travel less and benefit more." Liu Xiaofang, Deputy Director of the HeYou International Hospital Group Management Committee and President of HeYou Hospital, emphasized: "Both parties will take concrete actions to respond to the 'Healthy China' strategy and explore a replicable model for regional medical collaboration."

The achievement of this cooperation intent not only injects new momentum into improving regional medical quality but also provides an innovative model for the balanced development of healthcare in the Greater Bay Area.
