Performs over 100 neuromodulation surgeries annually. Has pioneered a series of innovative clinical works: the first scholar in China (together with Professor Pan Longsheng) to perform magnetic resonance-guided focused ultrasound (MRgFUS) for treating essential tremor and Parkinson's disease, and has received specialized training in MRgFUS technology in Spain and Japan. One of the first scholars globally to perform 5G remote robotic DBS surgery.

In collaboration with the National Key Laboratory of Cognitive Neuroscience and Learning at Beijing Normal University, conducts early screening for Alzheimer's disease and cognitive impairment; participated in the first DBS treatment for Alzheimer's disease in China. Involved in the National Key Research and Development Program on neuromodulation therapy for depression.

In other disease treatment areas, has over 10 years of experience in the treatment and research of moyamoya disease; possesses extensive clinical experience in neurointervention and cerebral revascularization surgery for ischemic cerebrovascular disease; is proficient in neurocritical care techniques and briefly served as the head of the Neurosurgery Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at the Chinese PLA General Hospital; during his doctoral studies, focused on spinal cord diseases, with innovative research on the pathogenesis and surgical improvement of craniovertebral junction anomalies, as well as the prevention and control of neural tube defects.
