      Diagnosed with obese type 2 diabetes mellitus, requiring high doses of insulin with poor glycemic control; postprandial blood glucose levels range from 10 to 15 mmol/L.

    • Technical Highlights

      Treatment with GLP-1 receptor agonists was initiated. Compared to conventional therapy, GLP-1 receptor agonists not only rapidly lower blood glucose in patients with obese type 2 diabetes but also promote weight loss, improve metabolism, and reduce insulin requirements.

    • Therapeutic Outcomes

      After two days of GLP-1 receptor agonist therapy, blood glucose levels decreased significantly. At discharge, the insulin dose was reduced to 16 units, and fasting blood glucose was controlled within the range of 5 to 7 mmol/L.
