Prof. Zhang Ying is a senior orthopaedic traumatologist with distinguished academic and clinical leadership. He currently serves as Chairman of the 5th Trauma Branch of the Guangdong Medical Association and has been an active member of the 8th and 9th Committees of the Chinese Medical Association. His previous leadership appointments include Deputy Director of the Orthopaedic Hospital at the General Hospital of the Southern Theater Command and Director of the Department of Traumatic Orthopaedics at the same institution. He presently holds the position of Director of the Department of Traumatic Orthopaedics at Heyou International Hospital

Expertise

With over four decades of clinical experience in orthopaedic surgery, Prof. Zhang has performed in excess of 15,000 operative procedures, maintaining a high-volume surgical practice exceeding 800 cases annually over the past decade. His clinical expertise encompasses the comprehensive management of complex musculoskeletal trauma, with particular emphasis on intra-articular fractures, complex pelvic and acetabular injuries, chronic osteomyelitis, fracture non-union, and limb reconstruction including distraction osteogenesis.

He is highly experienced in the surgical management of peripheral nerve injuries and is proficient in primary and revision arthroplasty of the hip, shoulder, and elbow, including the treatment of periprosthetic fractures. His technical repertoire further includes advanced arthroscopic interventions, corrective procedures for hallux valgus, and reconstructive microsurgical techniques such as flap transplantation. In addition, Prof. Zhang maintains a strong interest in the non-operative management of cervical, shoulder, lumbar, and lower extremity pain syndromes, integrating multimodal and evidence-based therapeutic strategies.
