Cardiovascular Medicine

Department Introduction

Cardiovascular Medicine is a comprehensive clinical specialty integrating medical treatment, education, and research

The department offers specialist outpatient clinics, general outpatient clinics, general wards, and a Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CCU). It is equipped with advanced domestic and international devices, including a Digital Subtraction Angiography (DSA) system, Intravascular Ultrasound (IVUS), Fractional Flow Reserve (FFR) measurement, Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP), coronary rotational atherectomy system, coronary shockwave balloon system, three-dimensional mapping system for arrhythmias (Carto3), multi-channel electrophysiology recording system, cardiopulmonary exercise testing machine for cardiac rehabilitation, cardiac Doppler ultrasound system (currently the world's most advanced Philips EPIQ 7C), and exercise stress testing system.

  • Coronary Intervention Technique

Relieves coronary artery stenosis or occlusion, restores myocardial blood supply, and significantly improves patients' clinical symptoms.

  • Cardiac Electrophysiology Technique

Applied in the diagnosis and treatment of various arrhythmia diseases, including radiofrequency ablation, atrial fibrillation radiofrequency/cryoablation, and left atrial appendage closure.

  • Pacemaker Implantation Technique

Includes conventional pacemaker implantation, leadless pacemaker implantation (Micra), and implantable cardioverter-defibrillator (ICD) implantation.

  • Structural Heart Disease Intervention Technique

Includes transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR), mitral and tricuspid valve regurgitation clipping, and interventional treatment for congenital heart disease, such as ventricular septal defect and atrial septal defect closure.

  • Heart Failure Intervention Technique

Helps patients rebuild cardiac function through cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT) and cardiac contractility modulation (CCM) implantation.

  • Refractory Hypertension Intervention Technique

Utilizes renal artery sympathetic nerve radiofrequency ablation (RDN) to achieve blood pressure reduction, representing a new method for long-term and stable blood pressure control in hypertensive patients.

  • Cardiac Rehabilitation Technique

Improves cardiovascular function in patients with heart disease through a variety of intervention measures.
