The Department of Pharmacy is equipped not only with advanced intelligent devices but also with a highly qualified pharmaceutical technology team

The Department of Pharmacy at HeYou Hospital comprises several units, including the Drug Warehouse, Integrated Outpatient and Emergency Pharmacy, Central Pharmacy, Intravenous Admixture Center, and Clinical Pharmacy Office, covering a total area of 1,800 m². The Integrated Outpatient and Emergency Pharmacy is equipped with an automatic dispensing machine and a granule dispensing machine; the Central Pharmacy is equipped with a fully automatic tablet packaging machine; the Intravenous Admixture Center is equipped with 6 Class 100 laminar flow workstations and 8 biological safety cabinets, providing intravenous admixture services for general medications, parenteral nutrition, antibiotics, and oncology drugs. Modern equipment and workflows, along with a new pharmaceutical service model, support the supply and use of high-quality clinical medications.

The department currently has 40 professional technical staff, including 1 with a senior professional title, 15 with intermediate professional titles, 1 doctoral graduate, and 22 master's graduates. The average age of department members is 34 years. Key members of the department have over 10 years of extensive work experience on the clinical front line of the pharmacy department in major tertiary hospitals. Five clinical pharmacists are engaged in daily work that not only covers pre-prescription review for all medical orders (in conjunction with online pharmacist review) but also carries out pharmaceutical services such as prescription evaluation, ward rounds, and pharmacy consultations; they strengthen medication safety management, monitor and report adverse drug events, and manage off-label drug use. To ensure safe, effective, and economical rational drug use for patients, the department is committed to building a nationally influential clinical pharmacy sub-specialty team.
