Urology

Department Introduction

Urology focuses on the diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation, health care, and prevention of diseases of the urinary system, male reproductive system, and adrenal glands.

It primarily treats patients with diseases related to the adrenal glands, kidneys, ureters, bladder, prostate, urethra, and male reproductive organs. With a core focus on comprehensive patient management and the goal of improving patients' quality of life and functional status, Urology implements an integrated, holistic, and continuous prevention and treatment model.

  • Urinary Incontinence

Provides advanced diagnosis and treatment for male and female patients of all ages with urinary incontinence, including various sling procedures, artificial urinary sphincter implantation, and pelvic floor reconstruction.

  • Bladder Dysfunction

Equipped with a world-leading video urodynamics system, it offers precise functional diagnosis for various types of bladder dysfunction, such as voiding dysfunction after spinal cord injury, pediatric myelomeningocele, overactive bladder, and bladder pain syndrome. Advanced surgeries including botulinum toxin injection, sacral neuromodulation, and bladder augmentation have been performed.

  • Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia

Utilizes various minimally invasive and ultra-minimally invasive surgeries such as transurethral resection of the prostate, laser enucleation, and UroLift (transurethral prostate suspension) to improve voiding symptoms while preserving erectile function. UroLift surgery can also preserve ejaculatory function.

  • Urinary Tract Stones

Equipped with advanced extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy, rigid ureteroscopy, flexible ureteroscopy, percutaneous nephrolithotomy, and holmium laser lithotripsy, enabling minimally invasive treatment for stones throughout the entire urinary tract (kidney, ureter, bladder, urethra).

  • Urinary and Male Reproductive System Tumors

Provides screening and early diagnosis for prostate cancer, bladder cancer, kidney cancer, renal pelvic and ureteral cancer, testicular cancer, penile cancer, adrenal tumors, and urethral tumors. Offers various endoscopic and open surgeries for radical or organ-preserving treatment.

  • Pediatric Urology

Provides standardized diagnosis and treatment for pediatric urinary and male reproductive system malformations (including ureteropelvic junction obstruction, megaureter, vesicoureteral reflux, cryptorchidism, hypospadias, epispadias, hydrocele, phimosis, concealed penis, webbed penis, ambiguous genitalia, bladder exstrophy, posterior urethral valves) and renal tumors.
