Deputy Secretary of the Municipal Committee and Mayor Bai Tao Conducts Research at HeYou Hospital

On September 11, Deputy Secretary of the Municipal Committee and Mayor Bai Tao visited enterprises in Shunde District to extend congratulations and express gratitude to representatives who received the 2023 National Science and Technology Awards on behalf of the Municipal Committee and Municipal Government. He emphasized the need to fully leverage the role of enterprises as the main drivers of innovation, persist in promoting industrial innovation through technological innovation, and accelerate the cultivation and development of new quality productive forces.

Bai Tao first visited the new exhibition hall at Midea Group headquarters to observe application scenarios such as smart homes, smart buildings, and smart logistics systems, gaining an in-depth understanding of Midea Group's achievements in technological innovation and digital-intelligent transformation. The project titled "Key Technologies and Applications for Efficient Multi-Grade Thermal Energy Supply from Air Source Heat Pumps," jointly completed by Midea Group's Guangdong Midea HVAC Equipment Co., Ltd., Guangdong Midea Refrigeration Equipment Co., Ltd., and Guangdong Meizhi Refrigeration Equipment Co., Ltd., won the Second Prize of the 2023 National Science and Technology Progress Award.

Bai Tao held discussions with the leaders of the award-winning enterprises, carefully listening to reports on their technological innovation practices and the research, development, and application of the award-winning projects. He encouraged the enterprises to strengthen their confidence in development, continue to increase investment in technological innovation, enhance collaboration with scientific research and innovation platforms, accelerate breakthroughs in core and key technologies, and promote the transformation of more scientific and technological achievements into practical productive forces. At the same time, he urged them to fully leverage policy benefits, set an example to drive more enterprises to actively participate in the new round of consumer goods trade-in initiatives, and continuously stimulate vitality in the consumer market. He requested that relevant municipal departments continuously optimize services, strengthen support for technological innovation resource elements, actively assist enterprises in solving difficulties and problems, and make every effort to create a favorable environment for innovation and entrepreneurship.

Bai Tao also visited HeYou Hospital for research, gaining an in-depth understanding of the construction of the smart hospital, as well as its medical resources, medical services, and operational model. He expressed the hope that HeYou Hospital would uphold its mission and responsibility to serve the health of the people, explore more new models of smart healthcare, further enhance the patient experience, and meet the diverse health needs of the public.
