Congratulations! Director Xie Keji of the Department of Urology at HeYou Hospital Wins First Prize in the National Surgical Video Competition
Recently, the "First National Surgical Video Competition for Anti-Female Stress Urinary Incontinence", jointly organized by the Urinary Control and Pelvic Floor Disease Diagnosis and Treatment Center of the National Geriatric Medical Center and the Urinary Control and Pelvic Floor Disease Professional Committee of the China Association for Promotion of Health Science and Technology, and hosted by the Urologist Learning Alliance, concluded successfully. After fierce competition, Director Xie Keji of the Department of Urology at HeYou Hospital, with his outstanding skills and excellent performance, successfully advanced to the finals and won the first prize.

Female stress urinary incontinence is a common urological disease that severely affects patients' quality of life. With the aging of the population, this issue has become increasingly prominent and a focus of social concern. This competition brought together many elites in the field of urology from across the country, aiming to showcase and exchange cutting-edge techniques and clinical experiences in anti-female stress urinary incontinence surgery through surgical videos.
In this competition, the patient case presented by Director Xie Keji was the most complex and difficult stress urinary incontinence case in the entire event. "The patient had undergone surgery for stress urinary incontinence at another hospital, which resulted in a lack of intrinsic urethral sphincter (the most severe form of stress urinary incontinence, with worsened leakage symptoms) and led to a urethrovaginal fistula. We performed a simultaneous (single surgery) retropubic mid-urethral sling procedure and urethrovaginal fistula repair. The surgery was very successful, and the patient was extremely satisfied," said Director Xie Keji.
It is understood that simultaneous mid-urethral sling and urethrovaginal fistula repair is rarely reported globally. Director Xie Keji's surgical video received unanimous praise from the judges for its clear operational procedures, meticulous technical execution, and significant therapeutic outcomes.
