HeYou Hospital and Kaiping Liqun Hospital Deepen Technical Collaboration and Resource Sharing to Jointly Promote Medical Quality Upgrades in the Western Guangdong Overseas Chinese Hometown

On April 17, 2025, in response to the national policy call for “expanding and decentralizing high-quality medical resources” and to promote regional medical collaborative development, representatives from HeYou Hospital visited Kaiping Liqun Hospital for cooperation discussions. Wu Zhaohuan, Chairman of Kaiping Liqun Hospital, Wu Shumin, Assistant to the Chairman, and Ma Liang, Vice President, warmly received the delegation and participated in the talks. Through resource integration and complementary advantages, the two parties have preliminarily reached a strategic cooperation intention to jointly enhance the health service level for the overseas Chinese community.

Located in the core area of the Jiangmen overseas Chinese hometown, Kaiping Liqun Hospital is a secondary general hospital integrating medical care, scientific research, teaching, and rehabilitation. Formerly known as Kaiping Shagang Zhang Liqun Hospital, the hospital has a total building area of 54,400 square meters, with 500 available beds and over 300 professional technical staff. Its medical equipment level ranks among the top in the western Guangdong region.

Kaiping Liqun Hospital's philosophy of being rooted in the overseas Chinese hometown and serving the people's livelihood is highly aligned with HeYou Hospital. Its well-established department setup, advanced equipment foundation, and long-term cooperation network with surrounding medical institutions provide a solid platform for the collaborative development of both parties.

During this discussion, the two parties clarified the following cooperation directions: First, to jointly establish a two-way referral mechanism, opening a “green channel for referrals,” improving the service system, and reducing the burden of cross-regional medical treatment for patients. Second, to facilitate normalized interaction, jointly conducting specialist physician training and academic exchanges to promote the regular flow of high-quality medical resources.
