Municipal Party Secretary Tang Yifeng Investigates Shunde District: Promoting Quality Upgrades in Public Services and Urban-Rural Environmental Transformation

On May 9, Municipal Party Secretary Tang Yifeng conducted a research visit to Shunde District, emphasizing the need to thoroughly study and implement General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speeches and instructions on Guangdong, earnestly implement the Provincial Party Committee's “1310” specific deployment, and pragmatically and efficiently implement the “Hundreds of Millions Project” to promote quality upgrades in public services and urban-rural environmental transformation, painting a new picture of a happy life for the people. Deputy Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee and Secretary of the Shunde District Party Committee Liu Zhiyong participated in the research.

At HeYou Hospital, Tang Yifeng learned in detail about the hospital's construction and operation, talent allocation, department setup, and diagnosis and treatment services, and listened to an introduction on the planning, design, and construction progress of the Tanzhou Tunnel Project. Tang Yifeng expressed the hope that the hospital would leverage its medical hardware and software resource advantages, deepen cutting-edge medical innovation research, focus on enhancing disciplinary expertise and diagnostic and treatment capabilities, and provide high-quality medical services to patients. Relevant municipal and district departments should actively promote exchanges and connections between public hospitals and HeYou Hospital, strengthen cooperation in scientific research innovation and skills training in key clinical disciplines such as oncology treatment, and comprehensively improve Foshan's oncology treatment level and service capacity. Adhering to the synergy of medical care, education, and research, efforts should be made to strengthen medical-school cooperation in the cultivation of clinical key specialty talents, discipline construction, and scientific research innovation in areas such as oncology treatment, cultivating more medical talents with both solid theoretical foundations and rich clinical experience. Shunde District should improve the public supporting facilities around the hospital, plan and promote the construction of projects such as the Tanzhou Tunnel and dock berths as a whole, build a denser and more efficient regional road network, and further enhance the convenience of medical visits and travel for the public.

At Bijiang Golden Tower and Cunxin Street, Tang Yifeng listened to introductions on the protection, development, and utilization of ancient buildings, as well as the progress of the dark culvert restoration project and the surrounding landscape enhancement project. Tang Yifeng pointed out that it is necessary to uphold the reverence for history and love for culture, use meticulous efforts to protect and repair ancient buildings, scientifically and rationally promote their revitalization and utilization, deeply explore historical and cultural connotations, do a good job in integrating and developing cultural tourism resources, attract more tourists for sightseeing, and allow ancient buildings to radiate new vitality and vigor. It is essential to strengthen planning and design guidance, empower rural construction with aesthetic thinking, solidly promote the optimization of rural spatial layout and landscape enhancement, persistently work on improving the living environment, and create a beautiful countryside that is well-spaced, clean and tidy, and full of charm. Efforts should be strengthened in water environment management, focusing on pipeline network construction, sewage treatment, and dark culvert remediation, to enhance the water body's circulation and self-purification capacity, and build a river ecological environment with smooth flow, clear water, green banks, and beautiful scenery.
