Experts from the District Health Bureau on Vector Control Visit HeYou Hospital to Guide "Four Pests" Elimination and Mosquito Control

To thoroughly implement the requirements of the Patriotic Health Campaign and effectively safeguard the health and safety of patients and medical staff, on April 15, the Logistics Support Department of HeYou Hospital invited experts on vector control from the Shunde District Health Bureau to provide on-site guidance. A special supervision was conducted on the elimination of the "four pests" (mosquitoes, flies, rats, and cockroaches) and mosquito control in key areas of the hospital, aiming to further enhance the level of hospital environmental health management.

The expert team conducted on-site inspections of key areas prone to vector breeding, including the Emergency Department, Outpatient Department, Pediatrics Department, basements, and open drainage ditches. A comprehensive assessment was made regarding the frequency of disinfection, drug ratios, equipment usage, and the layout of prevention and control facilities. Mr. Zhou Zhenyu from the Disinfection and Vector Control Division of the Shunde District Center for Disease Control and Prevention emphasized: "Medical institutions, with their dense populations, are high-risk settings for vector-borne diseases. The principle of 'environmental management as the mainstay, chemical control as a supplement' must be adhered to, reducing mosquito breeding at the source." The expert team also conducted an on-site inspection of the hospital environment and provided special training on "four pests" control for the hospital logistics staff.
