Care for Health, Nurses in Action | Nursing Department Holds Nurse's Day Free Clinic Event

On the occasion of the 114th International Nurses Day, to promote the spirit of Florence Nightingale and fulfill the professional responsibility of nursing, the Nursing Department of HeYou Hospital held a Nurse's Day free clinic event themed "Care for Health, Nurses in Action" on April 27, 2025, in the outpatient lobby on the first floor of the comprehensive building. Through free health screenings, traditional Chinese medicine specialty services, foot screenings, and health consultations, the event delivered warmth and care to the public.

Professional Services Deliver Health and Warmth

On the day of the event, nurses dressed in pristine white uniforms set up service stations early, attracting a large number of patients seeking medical care. The venue was divided into a health screening area, a traditional Chinese medicine experience area, and a consultation and guidance area. The nurses greeted every visitor with professional skills and warm smiles.

In the health screening area, nurses measured height, weight, blood pressure, and blood glucose for the public, providing personalized advice based on the data. A long line formed at the auricular acupoint pressing experience station, where Nurse Chen Kexin used traditional Chinese medicine therapies to help residents alleviate sub-health issues such as insomnia, constipation, and shoulder and neck pain.

The foot screening area focused on common foot diseases, where International Wound Ostomy Therapist Mai Jiaxin used professional instruments to examine foot skin condition, nerve sensation, and blood circulation, sounding a health alarm for high-risk groups.

At the health consultation booth, He En'en, a diabetes specialist nurse, patiently answered questions on chronic disease management, medication, and dietary and exercise guidance, conveying scientific health concepts to the patients seeking advice.

Cui Hong, Director of the Nursing Department, stated: "Nurses Day is not only our holiday but also an opportunity to give back to society.
