Collaboration: Improving the Charitable Medical Assistance System
With the support of the Hefeng Renxin Health Public Welfare Charitable Trust, on September 23, 2024, the Foshan Charity Federation, in collaboration with the Foshan Social Work Association, jointly launched the Foshan Double Hundred Dream Fulfillment Health Public Welfare Project. Representatives from the He Charity Foundation and the Foshan Charity Federation signed the agreement on-site, marking the official implementation of the project.
The project aims to leverage the "Double Hundred Project" as a driver, coordinating resources from charitable organizations, social organizations, medical institutions, and volunteers. Through a medical assistance model combining "medical insurance + charitable support," it provides examination, treatment, and other services to disadvantaged individuals and special groups in Foshan City and its paired assistance areas who are ill, meet hospitalization criteria, and voluntarily accept treatment at designated basic medical insurance medical institutions in Foshan. This alleviates the pressure of seeking medical treatment for these groups, helps improve their quality of life, restores social function, further explores the "medical insurance + charitable support" medical assistance model, and improves the basic livelihood security system.

Care: High-Quality Medical Services at Your Doorstep
The Foshan Double Hundred Dream Fulfillment Health Public Welfare Project is a key livelihood project launched by Foshan City to alleviate the "difficulty and high cost of medical treatment" for grassroots residents. Since the project's inception, HeYou Hospital has provided "doorstep" high-quality medical services to disadvantaged individuals and special groups in Foshan and its paired assistance areas through diversified forms such as health consultation services in communities, "Health Lecture Halls," and "Green Referral Channels."
On March 23, 2025, HeYou Hospital provided professional health consultation services to 46 disadvantaged individuals and special groups at the Xixi Community Elderly Care Service Center in Longjiang Town.
In addition to on-site health consultations (or remote video health consultations), the project also provides "one-stop" precise medical assistance services, including dedicated vehicle and personnel for transportation to and from medical appointments, green treatment channels, post-discharge rehabilitation follow-up, and treatment cost assistance. This ensures that disadvantaged individuals and special groups receive comprehensive, free, and high-quality medical care throughout the entire process from consultation to hospitalization, alleviating their medical burden.

Uncle Du, 57 years old, was the pillar of his family. A stroke two years ago left half of his body impaired, making him almost unable to care for himself. To make matters worse, a tumor was found in his brain requiring surgery. Faced with a sudden increase in family financial pressure and a difficult personal rehabilitation journey, HeYou Hospital actively responded to the Double Hundred Dream Fulfillment Health Public Welfare Project, bringing a turning point for Uncle Du's family like timely rain.
Through the intervention of "Double Hundred" social workers and the effective integration of charitable resources, Uncle Du was admitted to HeYou Hospital in December 2024. After admission, the HeYou medical team formulated a comprehensive treatment plan for Uncle Du, deciding to use a vertebral artery aneurysm embolization surgery to successfully remove the tumor and clear the blocked blood vessels. Although the surgical process was complex, the treatment was successfully completed thanks to the meticulous operation of the medical staff.
In December 2024, Uncle Du was Admitted to HeYou Hospital
During his hospitalization, the medical staff not only provided professional treatment for Uncle Du but also paid close attention to his daily life details. Upon learning that Uncle Du had a smoking habit, the medical staff explained in detail the impact of smoking on his treatment and helped him quit. With the encouragement and support of the medical staff, Uncle Du and his roommate mutually supervised each other and successfully quit smoking.
During Hospitalization, HeYou Medical Staff Maintained Close Communication with "Double Hundred" Social Workers, Monitoring Uncle Du's Recovery Progress
During this period, HeYou medical staff maintained close communication with the "Double Hundred" social workers, promptly providing feedback on Uncle Du's treatment plan and recovery progress. Every time there was new progress, the "Double Hundred" social workers would immediately inform his family, putting them at ease. After half a month of rehabilitation treatment, Uncle Du's physical condition improved significantly.
"The environment at HeYou Hospital is clean, tidy, spacious, and bright. The medical staff are very friendly, and the service attitude is first-class." After being discharged, Uncle Du gave a thumbs-up, expressing his satisfaction with the project with a beaming smile.
In the future, the project will continue to help more disadvantaged individuals and special groups like Uncle Du. By combining the efforts of "Double Hundred" social workers, charitable resources, and professional medical institutions, it will provide them with precise and personalized medical assistance services, allowing patients to "travel less" for medical care. From admission to discharge, the project provides full-service transportation, follow-up, and free medical services.
As a non-profit tertiary-level general hospital, HeYou Hospital adheres to its original aspiration of "benefiting the community and giving back to society." Through the Foshan Double Hundred Dream Fulfillment Health Public Welfare Project, it enables disadvantaged groups to truly feel the warmth of "medical insurance + charitable support."
