Dual Wings Set Sail Again! The Second Consultation Area of Traditional Chinese Medicine and the New Consultation Area of Psychological Medicine Officially Opened

On June 5, HeYou Hospital officially opened the Second Consultation Area of Traditional Chinese Medicine and the New Consultation Area of Psychological Medicine, marking a solid step forward in enhancing the diagnostic and treatment capabilities of its specialized departments and optimizing the patient experience. At the opening ceremony, hospital leaders and department heads jointly expressed their firm commitment to aligning with national strategies, deepening specialized services, and benefiting a wide range of patients.

Professor Zheng Qijin, member of the Management Committee of HeYou International Hospital Group and Vice President of HeYou Hospital, emphasized at the opening ceremony that the launch of the new consultation areas is a key measure for the hospital to actively respond to the national strategy for the development of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Dr. Huang Weiyi, Director of the Department of Traditional Chinese Medicine, elaborated on the strategic positioning of the new Second Consultation Area. He stated that the department will leverage the new space to focus on building a distinctive brand, deeply exploring and leveraging the unique advantages of TCM in chronic disease management, constitution regulation, rehabilitation, and health preservation. “The new consultation area is not only an expansion of physical space but also a platform for a leap in service capability,” said Huang Weiyi. Dr. Gong Mei'en, Director of the Department of Psychological Medicine, then introduced the innovative directions for the diagnosis and treatment of psychological disorders in the new consultation area. Gong Mei'en stated that the new consultation area will fully leverage this opportunity to actively explore and practice an integrated diagnosis and treatment model of “Chinese-Western collaboration and mind-body co-treatment.” The new consultation area of Psychological Medicine is equipped with comprehensive psychological assessment rooms, individual/group therapy rooms, and physical therapy spaces, organically integrating modern psychological techniques with the wisdom of traditional Chinese medicine in emotional regulation and mind-body balance, providing patients with more comprehensive and personalized mental health solutions.
