Cen Haohui Leads Macao SAR Government Delegation to Visit Foshan: Comprehensively Deepening Foshan-Macao Exchange and Cooperation, Jointly Advancing the Construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area

On June 24, Cen Haohui, Chief Executive of the Macao Special Administrative Region, led a Macao SAR government delegation to visit Foshan. Municipal Party Secretary Tang Yifeng and Mayor Bai Tao held talks with Cen Haohui and his delegation. Both sides expressed their commitment to promoting closer and more pragmatic cooperation between Foshan and Macao, jointly making new and greater contributions to the construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

Cen Haohui thanked the Foshan Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government for their long-standing care and support for the development of the Macao SAR. He stated that Foshan and Macao have maintained close relations for a long time, with new progress achieved in pragmatic cooperation across multiple fields. He expressed the hope that Foshan would continue to support the governance work of the new SAR government, deepen the cooperation and exchange mechanisms between the two sides, focus on complementary advantages and coordinated development, and further strengthen all-round cooperation in industries, science and technology, medical and elderly care, traditional Chinese medicine, and cultural tourism, thereby elevating Foshan-Macao cooperation to a new level and making new contributions to the high-quality development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

On behalf of the Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government, Tang Yifeng welcomed the Macao delegation and expressed gratitude for Macao's long-term support for Foshan's economic and social development. He noted that Foshan and Macao are geographically close, culturally connected, and share a long history of cooperation and frequent exchanges. Foshan will strengthen mutual visits and strategic alignment with Macao, deepen cooperation in industries, scientific research, medicine and health, economic and trade exchanges, and cultural tourism, and jointly promote the construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area to a higher level.

During their stay in Foshan, the Macao SAR government delegation visited KUKA Robotics (Guangdong) Co., Ltd. and HeYou Hospital, gaining in-depth insights into how Foshan's digital and intelligent transformation of industries supports manufacturing as the backbone of the economy, and how medical and elderly care cooperation promotes the development of the silver economy.

Participants from the Macao SAR Government included Dai Jianye, Chen Ge, Zhang Zuowen, Luo Yilong, Yu Yusheng, and Qiu Runhua. From the provincial level, Chen Liwen, Director of the Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office of the Guangdong Provincial Party Committee, attended the event. Foshan leaders Ding Xifeng, Zhou Zixu, and Chen Xinwen also participated.
