Heyou Hospital and Heyou Pinnacle Medical Center officially join Mayo Clinic Care Network
The internationalization of healthcare in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area has gained new momentum. On March 20, 2026, Heyou International Health System and Mayo Clinic jointly announced that Heyou Hospital and Heyou Pinnacle Medical Center have officially joined the Mayo Clinic Care Network. This strategic partnership marks a milestone in Heyou's mission to provide high-quality medical services. It also means that residents of the Greater Bay Area can access the diagnostic and treatment support of the "world's best hospital" without leaving the country.
Mayo Clinic, with a history of over 160 years, is a globally recognized benchmark in healthcare, consistently ranking among the top of U.S. News & World Report's "Best Hospitals." The Mayo Clinic Care Network, established in 2011, is a high-level hospital network centered on knowledge sharing and global collaboration. Its members include strictly selected independent medical institutions worldwide that, while maintaining their independence, are committed to improving the quality and value of healthcare through cooperation.
Heyou International Health System, originating from the philanthropic vision of Mr. He Xiangjian, founder of Midea Group, to "benefit the community and give back to society," is located in Shunde, Foshan, Guangdong. Its subsidiaries, Heyou Hospital and Heyou Pinnacle Medical Center, are the first medical institutions in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area to join the Mayo Clinic Care Network. Among them, Heyou Hospital, as a non-profit general hospital and a designated medical insurance institution, is committed to providing high-quality, affordable, and accessible medical services. Heyou Pinnacle Medical Center offers personalized, high-end medical services to meet the diverse health needs of patients.
"We warmly welcome Heyou Hospital and Heyou Pinnacle Medical Center to the Mayo Clinic Care Network," said Dr. Jorge Pascual, Medical Director of Strategic Relationships at Mayo Clinic. "Heyou's patient-centered service philosophy aligns closely with our values. We look forward to working together to expand access to high-quality medical services and deliver tangible health outcomes for patients in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area."
As members of the Mayo Clinic Care Network, Heyou Hospital and Heyou Pinnacle Medical Center will directly benefit from Mayo Clinic's extensive clinical knowledge and expertise, further enhancing their diagnostic, treatment, and care capabilities for patients.
"Joining the Mayo Clinic Care Network reflects our shared commitment to patient-centered care," said Jiade J. Lu, M.D., Executive Vice President of Heyou International Health System and Executive Vice President of Heyou Hospital. Through the network's knowledge-sharing platform, Heyou physicians can readily access the diagnostic pathways and clinical experience of a world-leading medical institution, thereby better serving local patients. For complex and difficult cases, Heyou physicians can conduct remote joint discussions with Mayo Clinic experts, allowing patients to receive professional opinions from a world-class medical institution close to home.
After joining the network, Heyou will gain access to support from three core systems of Mayo Clinic, making world-class medical resources readily accessible:
Clinical Decision and Knowledge Support: Access to AskMayoExpert disease practice guidelines, over 2,500 point-of-care decision support resources, remote case consultation opinions (eConsults), multi-site multidisciplinary case discussion conferences (eBoards), providing evidence-based, systematic support for complex and difficult cases.
Institutional Capacity Building and Professional Development Support: Hospital governance and management consulting, Continuing Medical Education (CME) courses, supporting the hospital's continuous improvement in clinical quality, operational management, and talent development.
Content and Health Information Support: Authorization to use Mayo Clinic health information resources, enhancing patient education and health management capabilities, enabling patients to receive globally recognized health guidance.
After joining the network, Heyou Hospital, Heyou Pinnacle Medical Center, and other members of the Mayo Clinic Care Network remain independent. Currently, the Mayo Clinic Care Network has over 45 member institutions in the United States, Asia, Europe, Latin America, and the Middle East.
