"Skills Build Dreams" - Brief Report on the Medical Laboratory Center Skills Training Series

On April 07, 2025, the mobilization meeting for the "Skills Build Dreams" skills training series was held in the HeYou Hospital Laboratory conference room. All laboratory staff were required to participate and enhance their professional skills and teamwork capabilities.

The Director of the Laboratory pointed out that enhancing professional skills is crucial for strengthening individual capabilities and teamwork, and clarified three requirements:

1. Organize specialized training and drills to ensure all staff master the competition skills.

2. Regularly summarize training progress and effectiveness.

3. Advocate for daily intensive practice to continuously improve technical levels.

The focus of this assessment was on the Clinical Laboratory Group. The group leader detailed the training process, project operation specifics, and scoring points for passing the assessment. He emphasized that technicians who fail the assessment will not be authorized by the director to independently perform related technical operations until they pass.

Key training points for the Clinical Laboratory Group: Master blood cell counting methods and manual counting methods for common body fluids (cerebrospinal fluid, pleural and ascitic fluid, joint cavity fluid, dialysate, prostatic fluid, and semen, etc.), as well as the identification of cell morphology (especially abnormal cells), and standardize manual reporting formats.

Through practical training, the skill level of laboratory personnel is enhanced, ensuring accurate and efficient test results and the homogenization of test results, thereby safeguarding medical quality.

Training Highlights:

1. Interactive Learning: During the training, leaders and group leaders fully interacted with the participants through Q&A and discussions, enhancing the learning effect.

2. Practical Operation Drills: By simulating actual laboratory operations, theoretical knowledge was combined with practical skills, improving the practicality of the training.

3. Interdisciplinary Exchange: Laboratory personnel from different groups exchanged experiences during the training, promoting collegial cooperation and knowledge sharing.

4. Diversified Training Formats: Online and offline sessions were conducted simultaneously to improve training effectiveness and participation, meeting the needs of different employees.

The training yielded significant results. Participants updated their knowledge of laboratory techniques, enhanced their awareness of quality control and biosafety, and improved their operational skills and emergency response capabilities.

The training aims to promote learning, construction, and application, enhance the professional skills of medical laboratory personnel, provide patients with more accurate and efficient testing services, and contribute to the improvement of medical service quality.
